Our New 4.5% Pale Ale: Stone-Fruit Hop Character

Our newest release is here: a 4.5% pale ale that pairs a soft, velvety mouthfeel with a gentle haze and a bold, fruit-forward hop profile.

This brew was designed to push lush stone fruit and resinous dank flavours right to the front, balanced by a touch of warm malt sweetness.

The Recipe: Soft Body & Subtle Malt Depth

To give the hop profile maximum impact, we built a rounded grain bill using Maris Otter, wheat, and oats for a plush, smooth mouthfeel. A touch of Caramalt adds subtle caramel sweetness and a golden tone to balance the hop bill.

Combined with a water profile tailored specifically for fruit-forward pale ales, it keeps the bitterness soft while letting the aromatics lead every sip.

The Hop Bill: Idaho 7, Strata, El Dorado & Azacca

We loaded this batch with a lineup of Yakima Valley hops to build deep layers of fruit character:

  • Idaho 7: Drives big stone-fruit aromas, unlocking ripe nectarine and soft apricot.

  • Strata: Layers in a satisfying, resinous dank finish to balance the fruit sweetness.

  • El Dorado & Azacca: Support the blend with a bright, juicy tropical undercurrent.

The result is a pale ale packed with juicy nectarine and apricot up front, supported by gentle malt depth, and rounded out by a clean, dank finish.

Tasting Notes

  • NECTARINE: Ripe, juicy stone fruit on the nose and palate from a heavy dose of Idaho 7.

  • APRICOT: Soft, sweet fruit depth backed by a light touch of Caramalt.

  • DANK: A satisfying, resinous finish from Strata that grounds the fruit sweetness.
