The biggest tournament in football is back this summer, and Scotland is on the world stage for the first time since 1998.
Because the matches are hosted across the USA, Canada, and Mexico, many kick-off times are late at night in the UK. At Moonwake Taproom on Tower Street, we have you covered. We are showing all games that are live during our standard opening hours, plus full reruns of the late-night matches the following day.
Come down to Leith to enjoy the tournament in a relaxed atmosphere with precision-brewed independent beer.
Thursday: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Friday: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Saturday: 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Sunday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
To celebrate Scotland's return to the World Cup, we have brewed a special collaboration beer with the legendary Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal charity.
Our tournament exclusive, No Moonwake No Party 4.8% Citra Pale Ale, will be pouring fresh from the taps and available to buy in cans. Every pint or can of No Moonwake No Party you buy directly supports the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal. A portion of all proceeds will go towards making a difference to the lives of children and families in the communities where the Scotland National Team travels to play. Come grab a pint and support a brilliant cause while you watch the World Cup matches.
We will be showing the action across the three main stages of the tournament:
Phase 1: The Group Stages (June 11 – June 27)
With multiple games happening every day, drop by after work on Thursdays and Fridays or across the weekend. We will be screening the early evening matches live, alongside daytime reruns of the late-night fixtures (including the big Scotland group games) during our afternoon hours.
Phase 2: The Knockout Rounds (June 28 – July 11)
As the tournament moves into the sudden-death rounds, the stakes get higher. Join us for weekend afternoon live games and afternoon replays of the late-night thrillers as the final teams fight for their place in the brackets.
Phase 3: The World Cup Final (Sunday 19th July)
The grand finale kicks off at a perfect time for UK viewers at 8:00 PM on Sunday 19th July. We will be open, the big screen will be on, and we will be showing the entire match to close out a massive summer of football.
Keep an eye on our social media channels and taproom boards each week for our specific weekly rerun screening times.
Alongside our full line-up of crisp, modern beers, we will have a selection of quality bar snacks available.
If you are looking for something more substantial while you watch the game, you can order Pizza Geeks directly to your taproom table.
Our taproom is accessible, comfortable, and both family and dog-friendly. While we always welcome walk-ins where possible, we highly recommend booking a table in advance for weekend reruns and the World Cup Final.
Message our Taproom Instagram or Email to book a table.
*We are unable to show the quarter final on 10th July as we are hosting our Matariki Celebration at the Taproom.
The tournament runs from Thursday 11th June to Sunday 19th July 2026, jointly hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The Moonwake Beer Co. Taproom on Tower Street (EH6 7BY) will be screening matches throughout our standard opening hours. We are just a short walk from the Shore Leith tram stop.
Yes, our taproom is completely dog-friendly and family-friendly, offering a relaxed environment to enjoy the summer of football.
