MATARIKI CELEBRATION

Celebrate Matariki (the Māori New Year) with an unforgettable evening of great drinks, incredible food, and live music right here in Leith.

We are incredibly excited to be hosting this event in collaboration with the New Zealand Society Scotland. Whether you’re a homesick Kiwi looking for a taste of home or a local looking to experience a beautiful cultural celebration, everyone is welcome!

To mark the occasion, we’ve got some incredible drink specials lined up:

• Exclusive Beer Launch: We are dropping a brand-new Moonwake beer specifically for the event.

• Premium Tequila Margaritas: Our event is proudly sponsored by Neurita, an incredible tequila brand with New Zealand roots. They craft a premium range of flavoured tequilas designed to make the perfect Margarita—and we'll be serving them up all night long!

• 4PM: Street food kicks off

WHAT IS MATARIKI?

Matariki, the Māori New Year, falls on 10th July and marks the first rising of the Matariki star cluster in the early morning sky. It's a time for reflection, remembrance, and looking forward — and we're celebrating with Kiwis and Kiwi lovers alike. We're open 3pm–10pm. Come for the beer, stay for the music, and celebrate the occasion with us. We can't wait to see you there!
