WEST COAST IPA LAUNCH & MEET THE BREWERS

Our relationship with Howe Beer Project started last summer, when we were proud to supply some of the guest beer for their grand opening. We’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to get behind the brew kit together ever since, and it has finally happened.

We are incredibly honoured to be Howe Beer Project's first-ever collaboration brew. Together, we’ve put together a clean, classic West Coast IPA.

The Launch Night

To celebrate the release, we are hosting a launch night at the Moonwake Taproom in Leith on Thursday 18th June.

The brewers from both teams will be there from 5pm onwards to pour the first pints, chat about the recipe, and talk all things beer. Alongside the new West Coast IPA, we will also be pouring a range of Howe Beer Project’s independent brews.

If you can’t make it down to Leith for the launch night, you won't miss out—the collaboration beer will be available fresh on the lines at both of our taprooms.

About Howe Beer Project

If you haven't made the trip over to Balmalcolm yet, Howe Beer Project is a independent microbrewery and inclusive "social hall" founded by Kevin Kelly and Julia McCarthy. Their goal is to build short, sustainable supply chains that bring Fife’s barley straight into their beers.

They built out their space with community and sustainability at the core, repurposing what was on-site and sourcing secondhand brewery equipment wherever possible. Alongside brewing their own exceptional beers, they run their taproom as a true third space for everyone, hosting local groups, community events, and a rotating lineup of regional food trucks.

A Note for HBP Regulars:

If you have a Howe Beer keyring, make sure to bring it along. Showing it to the bar staff unlocks 10% off your pints.

We hope to see you there for a pint and a chat.
