6 HOP PALE

Immerse your senses in a refreshing tropical paradise as our 6 Hop Pale reveals vibrant notes of passionfruit and stone fruit, created by using a blend of six different hops – Challenger, Saaz, Sultana, Styrian Wolf, Azacca and Nectaron. This beer is distinguished by its soft and juicy mouthfeel, courtesy of added Golden Naked Oats.

CHALLENGER, FROM THE UK

Challenger hops can create intense spicy, cedar aroma effects and can be used for powerful hoppy beers, such as our 6 Hop Pale, as well as traditional British bitters. We regularly use this hop to bitter our beers during the boil in the brewing process.

SAAZ, FROM CZECHIA

Saaz is a Noble hop named after the town it derived from, Žatec. The hop was used considerably in Bohemia to flavour beers such as Pilsners. It is known to produce floral, earthly and herbal qualities in a beer. This hop made for a softer, more subtle addition to 6 Hop Pale to balance out some of the punchy flavours of the other hops we used. We love to use this hop in our Continental-style beers such as Leith Helles, Gose and our multi-award-winning Weissbier. 

SULTANA, FROM GERMANY

Sultana is a beast of a hop, mainly grown in the US but ours was grown in Germany. It is known to produce pineapple, pine and citrus flavours and aromas in beer. It's our first time using the hop but it is a favourite of those wishing to brew an IPA with a lot of hop character. Ideal for what we wanted to create in our 6 Hop Pale.

STYRIAN WOLF. FROM SLOVENIA

Styrian Wolf is a hop that can produce flavours of sweet tropical fruits and complex aromas of mango. We first used Styrian Wolf in our Baltic Porter back in November 2021 - a very different beer to our 6 Hop Pale but that just goes to show the versatility you can find in ingredients and the brewing process. 

AZACCA, FROM THE US

Azacca, named after the Haitian god of agriculture, it is a hop known commonly among brewers as being great for Pale Ales and IPAs. This hop can create mango, pineapple, and tangerine-esque qualities - fantastic 6 Hop Pale material! We use Azacca in our flagship Pale Ale and our C.A.S.K. Pale Ale.

NECTARON, FROM NEW ZEALAND

Nectaron gives beer intense tropical pineapple, passion fruit and stone fruit flavours. We were excited to use this hop for the first time and to add those qualities to our 6 Hop Pale. We have absolutely fallen in love with this hop so expect to see it popping up in more of our beers soon.

We are really enjoying the immersion of big juicy, tropical flavours this beer is giving us. We hope you all love our 6 Hop Pale as much as we do.
