We are delighted to invite you to the launch of Moonwake’s latest creation—Saffron Rice Lager! Immerse yourself in an evening of warmth, community, and celebration as we unveil this exciting new addition. Enjoy a carefully curated Persian-inspired menu alongside the vibrant atmosphere of this special occasion!


ABOUT YOUR EVENT MENU:

STARTER
Kuku Sabzi - A fragrant Persian herb frittata made with fresh herbs, eggs, and tumeric, garnished with barberries and walnuts.
Kaske Bademjan - A creamy roasted eggplant dip topped with kashk (fermented yogurt and wheat), caramelized onions, and garlic, served with warm bread.

MAIN
Chicken Tahchin - A beautiful layered Persian rice dish with tender marinated chicken, saffron, and yogurt, baked to create a crispy golden crust (tahdig).

DESSERT
Cake Baklava - A decadent Persian-style case inspired by traditional baklava, flavoured with rosewater, cardamom, and crushed nuts for a perfect sweet ending.

ABOUT THE BEER:

Moonwake have taken a brewery classic and added a little eastern flair. Built on a base of both torrefied and basmati rice, we use a classic step-mash technique to stop the rice gelatinising and extract the delicate flavour of basmati.

We add the “red gold” of Persian saffron in the whirlpool to yield earthy & floral notes. It’s then fermented extra cold with Nova yeast for a crisp slightly sweet beer with a spicy floral kick.
