OKTOBERFEST 2025

Join us for a day of German-style beers, beer hall tables, and DJs playing at our taproom!

Oktoberfest is an annual festival held in Munich, Germany, held over two weeks ending on the first weekend of October. It originated in 1810, celebrating the marriage of the Prince of Bavaria and Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghhausen (bonus points if you manage to pronounce that right at the event to the bar staff). The Prince later became King Louis I.

The festival concluded with a horse race that was called Theresienwese ("Therese's Green").

The years following, the festival grew to include drink and food stalls, later introducing beer halls with interior balconies, beer wagons representing the breweries involved, with parades and folk costumes, games, music, dancing, and much more. The festival draws over six million visitors to Munich each year. 

Here at Moonwake, we will unfortunately not be hosting a horse race, due to the nature of our venue... but, we will have our own beer hall, with our own interior balcony!
